THIS OLD CHURCH

A documentary I wrote, produced and directed that helped save Holy Family Church, one of Chicago's oldest landmarks. It is the story of it's construction, it's survival of the Great Chicago Fire in 1871, and it's embrace of waves of immigrants over centuries. Holy Family served such populations as the Irish, Italians, and African Americans moving into the neighborhood, and in the process established the now highly regarded St. Ignatius College Prep. High School and Holy Family Grade School on its grounds.
